Induction Information

If you are thinking about joining our fantastic Sixth Form community, we ask you to first download our prospectus where you can get an idea of the school, how we operate and more in-depth information on all of our wide and varied courses.

Following our Sixth Form Open Evening (usually held at the beginning of November), we then ask you to submit your application – which gives us some more detail about your career plans, your A Level choices, and your expected grades in order to help us process your application.

Whilst applications can be accepted until the September of entry, the initial closing date for the purposes of timetabling consideration is the 31st January.

Our Induction programme begins with Interview/Taster mornings. For current CCS students, interviews take place over a two week period in January; for students applying from other schools, you will be invited to attend an Interview/Taster morning during February, March or April.

At the beginning of July we then hold two Induction Days for all applicants; these days will give you an opportunity to sample taster A Level lessons in your chosen subjects, meet your fellow applicants as well as the Sixth Form staff and current students. You will also find out about the Summer/Transitional work for your subjects.
