Criminology(Level 3 Applied Diploma)
Course aims
Designed to support learners progressing to university, the Level 3 Criminology qualification has been designed to provide exciting and interesting experiences that focus learning for 16-19 year-olds.
It is a qualification which complements studies in humanities, psychology and sociology.
The main purpose of the qualification is to support access to Higher Education courses, such as:
- BSc or BA Criminology
- BA Criminology and Criminal Justice
- BSc (Hons) Criminology and Psychology
- LLB (Hons) Law with Criminology
- BA (Hons) Criminology and Sociology
- BA (Hons) Criminology
- BSc (Hons) Psychology and Sociology
- BSc Criminology with Law
Course Structure
50% of the course is assessed through two external examinations (75 marks, 90 minutes, 25% each) and the remaining 50% through internally assessed controlled assessment (2 x 25%)
Entry requirements
A grade 5 in either GCSE English (Language or Literature), in addition to at least four grade 4s in any other subjects.
