It’s the end of another busy term here at Chipping Campden Sixth Form as well as the end of another school year!

#PJsforPanCan

Back in April our Sixth Form Charity Committee organised yet another hugely successful charity event – our annual PJ Day! This years committee decided they wanted to raise awareness of Pancreatic Cancer so staff and students donned their PJ’s and raised £476.66 for Pancreatic Cancer Action.

Sixth Form Photo 2021

Unlike in 2020, we were able to take our annual Sixth Form photo this year. Luckily the sun shone and it was great to see the entire year group together along with the Sixth Form staff and tutors.

Year 13 ‘Nostalgia Day’

On the 14th May our Year 13 students enjoyed their ‘Nostalgia Day’ before embarking on their 2 weeks of study leave. It was their last official day in school and they certainly enjoyed taking a trip down memory lane while wearing their old school uniforms.

Year 13’s Final Assembly

After completing their assessments our Year 13’s returned one last time ‘Dressed to Impress’ for their final assembly and leavers BBQ. It was an emotional affair with lots of reminiscing, as well as some fantastic singing and musical performances from some of our students.

Congratulations Anna and Will!

We were delighted to find out that two of our Year 13 students were selected to be the recipients of this years Court Barn Bursary, each receiving £1,250 each on acceptance of their places at Art College in the Autumn. Anna intends to go to Oxford Brookes University to do an Art Foundation and Will is planning to attend Bristol University to start an Illustration Degree. Huge congratulations to both of them!

A tour of the PAC

Our newly appointed Head Boy and Head Girl were recently invited to have a tour of our PAC (Performance Arts Centre) which is still currently under construction.

Following their tour Milly said:

“It was fantastic to see the Performing Arts Centre from the inside; after seeing the plans, it is great to see the space starting to come to life! Harry and I had the privilege of viewing both floors and we are both very excited for its completion so that all performing arts students and the community can enjoy this incredible space!”

The PAC is still currently under construction; work is due to be completed by Spring 2022.

Year 13 ‘Alternative’ Dinner Dance 2021…..

It was with great disappointment that the Year 13 Dinner Dance (normally held at the Welcombe Hotel in Stratford) had to be cancelled for the second year running after restrictions were not lifted on the 21st June.

The event was due to take place on the 8th July but, determined not to let their gorgeous outfits go to waste, one group of students organised their own mini Dinner Dance with a BBQ and dancing. It was kindly hosted by one of the students in their back garden! Here they are looking fabulous!
